I'm a photographer who lives in Charlotte, NC. Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I poured over documentary magazines that entered our home wondering why this image told such a powerful story; no words were needed. It wasn't until a few years ago that I decided it was time to study the art of what makes an image memorable. I thought, I too, I have something to say. Photography gave me a way to express my inner self, so that my children and my children's children know a part of me that can not be expressed in words. My work is a legacy, of sorts, but my art is what drives me daily. I'm working on seeing, feeling, wondering and absorbing the world around me. The people I meet, the sounds I hear, the smells I inhale all inspire me to capture the moment. Photography is an expressive art that gives back and is not selfish. It demands to be revealed and revered. It tells us who and where we have been and frees us to create in abundant ways.
